Periodontal Diseaseteeth2

Periodontal disease is a common problem we see in dogs and cats usually over a year of age. This disease affects the teeth and gums of your pet, and dental care can help prevent or progress the development of periodontal disease. Common symptoms we see with periodontal disease include tooth loss, sore gums, halitosis (bad breath), and bacterial growth in the mouth. The bacteria in the mouth can migrate to the heart, liver, and kidneys which can affect your pet’s health and well being.
